On August 4th 2026 in Total ≈ $310,200,000 per year across Michigan was on the ballot. Some School Boards have provided better plans and explanations than others. We the people of Michigan are falling short of the high aspirations for education set forth in our Constitution. Too often, our children are caught in the crossfire of political battles instead of being placed at the center of our shared efforts. It is time to come together and focus our education system. Record levels of funding— funding that is delivering abysmal results. What will make the lasting difference is our will to prioritize literacy, numeracy, vocational preparation, and higher learning; to put the long-term success of every child above short-term divisions; and to work side by side so that every Michigan student has the opportunity to thrive.
